SHANGHAI, China - Physicist Shi Zhengrong spent the 1990s in an Australian lab studying solar power, a field he picked by chance. He expected to devote his life to science. Still, Shi saw signs of a blossoming industry as Germany, Japan and other countries invested in cleaner power. Excited by a trip home that showed him China's rapid development, he startled friends by abruptly moving his wife and two Australian-born sons to his homeland in 2001 to launch a solar equipment company.

The 2007 Rice Business Plan Competition (RBPC) awarded more than $345,000 in cash and prizes at an awards banquet on Saturday, March 24, which represented a 33 percent increase in prizes as compared to last year’s competition. The banquet marked the conclusion of the three-day RBPC, the largest and richest intercollegiate business plan competition in the world.

San Francisco (IDGNS) - Intel Corp. President and CEO Paul Otellini Monday confirmed the company plans to build a US$2.5 billion chip plant in China. The plant, to be built in Dalian, on China's northeastern coast, will enter production during the first half of 2010.
Intel hopes the Dalian plant, which will be used to initially produce chipsets, and not the company's flagship microprocessors, will help drive down manufacturing costs.

Dongying City’s territory is from 36'55" to 38'15" north latitude and from 118'05" to 119'15" east longitude. It is located in the center of the area encircled by the Shandong Penginsula and Liaodong Pininsula.
